Edge Media, a leading interactive agency located in Phoenix, AZ is pleased to announce the addition of ChurchLink Communications, a full service division of Edge Media, designed to help ministries and churches move forward to utilize all of the benefits of emerging technologies.

As a Christian interactive agency, we are confident that our clients will benefit from three decades of experience meeting the needs of Christian broadcast companies, ministries, parachurch, and church organizations.

Product offerings for ChurchLink will include:

ChurchLink Mobile:   Subscription based, online SMS marketing software system with wonderful applications for non-profits, churches and ministries using text messaging including fundraising, action alerts, prayer alerts, devotionals, security, connecting groups within churches and ministries, text to screen, etc.  We can also connect text to Twitter!

ChurchLink Apps: We can develop apps for I-Phones & Blackberrys for non-profits, ministries, churches, political candidates, etc.

ChurchLink Mobile Web:  We can develop mobile websites  (example: ESPN tripled website traffic when they added their .mobi site!)

ChurchLink Social Media: We create social media sites and then connect them so that content automatically flows across all sites - this helps busy people communicate!

ChurchLink Blog Systems: We use blog optimization software based on keyword research, so when a blog is written, it is keyword optimized (for example 10 keywords), the system parses the blog into 10 blogs instead of one, publishes to the internet, and then pings the search engines.  This system takes up internet real estate very rapidly, and is a great tool for search engine optimization.  We can integrate this into your website and autoflow content from your social media sites as well.

ChurchLink also offers e-mail marketing, e-fundraising, pay-per-click advertising management, & search engine optimization, graphic & web design, market research & strategy, media planning and buying.

Our ChurchLink Communications site is currently under construction, so please visit the Edge Media website to gain a full understanding of the expertise of our marketing and advertising consultants, as well as the experience our Christian agency is ready to put to work for you!

Social Marketing is Maturing

Wednesday, December 16, 2009 by Vickie Isaac
Marketing Sherpa recently reported that almost 23% of companies/agencies that use social media as a marketing channel have matured to the strategic phase.  According to Sherpa, many companies use social media but do not integrate research and objectives into their actions or the devices they choose.  Social media is definately a strategic marketing channel that a leading interactive agency will utilize with a well thought out plan.

Many advertising and marketing consultants are hopping on the social media bandwagon, but almost 32% are still in some sort of trial phase (Marketing Sherpa, 2009).  The other 45% are in transition - discovering more about the media and how to make it work efficiently to accomplish a goal.  Marketing Sherpa laid out an acronym - ROAD - research, objectives, actions, and devices.  An interactive web agency should lay out a ROAD map before embarking upon social media marketing.

At Edge Media our marketing and advertising consultants do their homework first. WHO is the customer?  What is already being said about the industry?  Listening is important on the social media platforms.  We research, listen, refine objections, and then create a plan that outlines the actions and which social media platforms match the research and objectives.  Only after the homework is done do we actually implement the strategy, and even after that it is tested and refined, and then results are measured and improved upon.

Advertising agencies, marketing companies, marketing and advertising consultants alike recognize the power of this emerging medium.  It has a great deal of potential if used effectively.  As a leading interactive agency in Phoenix, AZ, we will make sure your strategy is effective!  Download a short "Social Media 101" presentation and listen to the audio file on our website at www.edgemedia.biz/index-7.html

Interactive Marketing Strategy

Monday, December 7, 2009 by Vickie Isaac
A leading interactive agency does not just create campaigns, but must drive ROI.
I just ran the stats for one of our clients.  After three months, we have increased web traffic 3,000%, which has translated into a 75% increase in sales!  Now that's some ROI!

One of the primary components of interactive marketing for a B2C success story is a strategy that makes sense.  For example, here are the questions to ask:

1) What is the end goal?
2) What steps must we create to accomplish our end goal?
3) How can we make those steps easy for the consumer to take?

We actually create a "marketing path" that leads to the accomplishment of the goal.  Here are examples of issues to sort through:
1) Why are you driving traffic to your website?
2) What do you want people to do when they get there?
3) How can you make that easy?

Traffic for the sake of traffic to a website is nice, but you need traffic that CONVERTS to accomplish your objective.  Many websites are static, and even if there are good traffic numbers, the potential is not being fully utilized.

It is the same thought process for social media.  Why do you want Facebook fans?  What will you do when you get them?  How can fans be converted to customers or clients?
We waste a lot of time and energy without strategy to drive our efforts.  Don't do it if it doesn't accomplish a goal... Every interactive web agency utilizing social media should have a strategy behind the use of social media, otherwise it is just advertising dollars burned with no ROI.  Marketing and advertising consultants are just beginning to understand how to use social media in a way that adds to the interactive marketing strategy and at the end of the day contributes to ROI.  Marketing companies in Phoenix are just starting to scratch the surface of integrating social media into the mix, as are businesses around the country and world.  A leading interactive agency will be truthful about the process, so be careful about folks who are attaching the word "expert" to an emerging marketing medium!

ChurchLink Mobile

Thursday, October 8, 2009 by Vickie Isaac
One of the greatest challenges for churches today is staying connected with members of their congregations.  As a pastor's wife with over two decades of ministry experience, I can tell you that this is one of the primary reasons we developed ChurchLink.  As a Christian marketing company, Edge Media is committed to providing tools of VALUE to our clients that make a difference in day to day life.  We believe ChurchLink is one of those tools.

Text messaging is now a primary means of communication for Americans, with the use of texting growing across all age demographics.  The primary demos are the 12-54 year old categories, which are perfect for churches.  The applications are really endless, from church wide communication from the pastor, including daily Scripture or a devotional, event invitations and reminders, church wide prayer alerts, and so much more.  There is also tremendous value to creating subgroups per ministry within the church - for example the youth group where the youth pastor can text out reminders, encouragement, etc. to his or her youth group.  The SMS marketing software can also be used for security purposes, nursery and childcare, etc.

ChurchLink Mobile is SMS marketing software and is a product of Edge Media, a full service Christian interactive agency located in Phoenix, AZ, serving both local and national clients.

Mobile Advertising Will Increase 74% This Year!

Wednesday, September 2, 2009 by Vickie Isaac
As radio sees unprecendented declines of 25% in ad revenues, mobile advertising is predicted to enjoy a 74% increase in global spending, to $913.5 million, according to a new report from Gartner.  Mobile advertising in the U.S. will grow from $208 million in 209 to $1.5 billion in 2013, according to a study from Parks Associates.

Smartphones and 3G network data plans are key drivers for this grown, as smartphones currently account for about 36.5% of all U.S. phones, and predicted to rise to 45.5% of all mobile sales by 2013, according to Gartner.

As  a leading interactive agency, we integrated SMS marketing software into our advertising strategy early on as we predicted the need to also become a mobile advertising agency.  We are excited about the growth, and as marketing companies in Phoenix have been closing their doors, we are grateful that new technology has not only provided new revenue streams, but also great results for our clients. We now integrate bulk SMS services into all applicable campaigns to create a measurable direct response component and a remarketing opportunity, thus increasing the likelihood of the sale.  This is a win for both clients and Edge Media!

Marketing and Advertising Consultants Wising Up to Mobile Marketing

Friday, August 28, 2009 by Vickie Isaac
Marketing and advertising consultants are getting wise to the strength of mobile.  A recent article from an ESPN exec stated that mobile is the "glue for all they do", and revealed some mobile monetization tactics.  Finally!  I have been saying this forever!  Right now we are one of the few marketing companies in Phoenix to integrate our bulk SMS services into our client strategies.   I also just recently saw an article in Mobile Marketer regarding Pizza Hut - 2,000 opt-ins in two weeks!  Now that is strategy that generates results!  And remember that Pizza Hut now gets to stay in communication with these folks because they OPTED IN!

Broadcast, advertising and marketing consultants are figuring out now how to use it and even make money doing so!  I have been flabbergasted at the hesitancy, particularly in the broadcast industry, to monetize bulk SMS services! There are over 55 million people in the U.S. (according to Nielson) that actively use mobile data.  The ESPN folks really get it that it is best used as the "connection medium".  They recognize, as we do, that it is truly a marketing channel that is going to explode.

As a leading interactive agency, AND a mobile advertising agency, we are very excited about this channel and the results it generates for our clients.  Our SMS marketing software offers bulk SMS services that are state of the art, web based, affordable, and very easy to use.  For more info, go to:  http://www.edgemedia.biz/index-3.html

Optimized Blogging

Thursday, August 20, 2009 by Vickie Isaac
I am pleased to report that we are getting wonderful results for our clients using optimized blogging.  Within three weeks time, we have gained a top 10 Google listing, as well as 9 other listings for keyword optimized blogs, most of them starting out being ranked on pages 2 and 3 of Google.  Fast results!

Optimized blogging is a relatively new strategy that advertising and marketing consultants need to be navigating towards because of the results the system delivers.  Our advertising and marketing consultants visit with the client to make sure we understand the terms that are most important to the client.  We then conduct extensive keyword research to determine the competitiveness of the terms.  We choose our keywords using a variety of filtering factors, and finally choose the winners.

After keyword research is completed, the graphic design, coding, installing, etc. are all done, and then the blog is ready to go live.  The blog writer then starts blogging, and is careful to insert the keywords that were chosen based on research into the copy.  Once the blog reaches the acceptable keyword density, the system gives the writer the green light to post.  The ecstatic author then presses the green submit button and magic!  The system parses the ONE blog into many, according to keywords, and then pings the search engines to recognize the content.   It is beautiful...

The Edge Media blog is an example of the optimized blogging system, because we believe that as advertising and marketing consultants, we have to practice what we preach!  Many Phoenix marketing companies are discovering and implementing social media, and I believe the next integration should be optimized blogging.   Honestly, as far as I can tell, right now we are one of the few advertising agencies in Phoenix AZ, as well as in the non-profit and Christian marketing company arenas to use such an extensive process!  Our promise to our clients is that as a Christian interactive agency, we will handle our client's campaigns with integrity, and will do a great job getting important messages maximum exposure, starting with the optimized blog and then flowing across social media.
