Using Emerging Social Media

This morning I attended a webinar from Vocus on how to integrate press releases into social media.  It was very informative and served as a strong reminder that at the end of the day, a leading interactive agency simply must be immersed in social media to fullly get the job done for their clients.

As a leading interactive agency, at Edge Media we have made it a priority to stay current with emerging social media for our clients.  We weave social media into almost all of our marketing strategies now as an integral component of what an interactive web agency does for its clients.  Why?  Because the message has to be placed where the people are and because there is a multiplier effect in publishing to the internet.   For example, consider the press release that is not only released in traditional fashion, but is published to the web.  Search engines are pinged, and any number of news organizations can pick up the content, multiplying exposure.   Additionally, the content is auto-flowed across a variety of social media sites where millions of people visit, creating added visibility, building online listing real estate and driving traffic to the client's website.

As a leading interactive agency, it is imperative that we maintain vigilance and integrate marketing strategies into emerging media AS it is adopted by the consumers, businesses, and the press to place relevant content in places where people will access it - similiar to the old adage "Fish where the fish are...".

Getting started with social media is not rocket science.  Visit our website for an audio presentation as well as a downloadable presentation on how to get started with sites like Facebook, My Space, etc. Click here: http://www.edgemedia.biz/index-4.html

Genuine interactivity is created, and relevant dialogue with consumers can be monitored thru feeds from various social media sites.  The interactive web agency can engage in the dialogue to gain insights and feedback from the consumers themselves.   A leading interactive agency will showcase the brand, provide valuable content online, and then involve themselves in the dialogue that ensues- hence the word interactive!
